We use hg at work, and I was not familiar with the post 1.0 branching schemes in hg. This link has a nice overview about the different strategies available, with their pro/cons.

Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for novice blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
